What is Red Roller: The Heartway Adventure?

Red Roller: The Heartway Adventure is a free, family-friendly 3D action platformer by Ebony Iris Media that runs entirely in your browser. You play Red Roller, a fast kinetic-core hero with a glowing heart core, three traction bands, and a visor that never spins even when the shell does. The land's energy-and-life network, the Heartway, has gone dark, and restoring it is the whole game: instead of smashing enemies, you reconnect, reroute, repair, and revive.

This release covers World 1: Emerald Meadows with five playable levels: The First Roll, Broken Bridge (moving platforms and a charging Drill Gearling), Gearling Patrol (a Shield Gearling walls off the beacon), The Dry Stream (a routing puzzle that calls the water back), and the guardian encounter with The Iron Warden, resolved the Heartway way: read its patterns, cool its vents, and let it rest. Levels unlock in order, and your best times, Memory Sparks, and rescues are saved in your browser.

How to play

What are Core Rings?

The three rings at the top left are Red's integrity. Falling in the water or bumping a corrupted Gearling costs one ring. Lose all three and Red wakes up at the last beacon checkpoint, no lives lost, no game over. Cyan repair motes on the path restore missing rings.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. On touch screens the left half of the screen is a virtual stick, the right half orbits the camera, and on-screen buttons handle jump, dash, brake, and interact. The game is a single small page with no downloads.

How does two-player co-op work?

One player presses Host co-op and shares the four-letter room code. The second player enters the code and joins as Goldie, the golden Keeper of the Heartway. Both of you roll the same meadow together: either player can tether relays, calm the Gearling, and grab collectibles, and each of you has your own three Core Rings. Online play uses the same EIM relay as Color Clash; if it is unreachable, solo play always works.

The story so far

The Heartway once linked five lands in one warm current of energy. When the distant Crown Engine began to mistake protection for control, the current stopped and the meadows went quiet. Guided by Pip, a small floating scout, and the faraway voice of Goldie, Keeper of the Heartway, Red Roller sets out to wake the network one district at a time. The First Roll is where it begins; four more worlds, from the Golden Desert to the Sky Citadel, are on the roadmap.

Who made this?

Red Roller: The Heartway Adventure is built by Ebony Iris Media, an Ann Arbor, Michigan digital presence studio. The whole game is served from this site: a self-hosted 3D engine, hand-painted texture pack, and vanilla JavaScript gameplay code, with no CDNs, no trackers, no install, and no account.
